How to compare any of them
Ask for the North Carolina heating license number and look it up at nclicensing.org. Get the diagnostic fee and the after-hours fee on the phone before anyone drives out, and get replacement quotes in writing with the model numbers and the labor warranty in years. Two written quotes on a replacement usually show a spread of $1,500 or more for the same size system.
