Effective September 13, 2026. This policy covers chapelhillacandheating.com and the phone number on it.
What we collect
- When you call: your phone number, the time and length of the call, and a recording of the call if you do not hang up after the recording notice.
- When you send a request: your name, mobile number, zip code, what your system is doing, when you want service and anything you type in the notes field.
- When you text us: your number and the messages you send.
- When you browse: standard server logs such as IP address, browser type and pages viewed. If you accept cookies, we also use the analytics tools described below.
We do not collect payment information. Payment for any work is handled by the licensed business that performs it.
Cookies and analytics
If you click Accept on the cookie banner, we load two analytics tools. Google Analytics counts visits, pages viewed, how people arrived and whether they tapped the phone number or sent a request. Microsoft Clarity records anonymized clicks, scrolls and page movement so we can see where the site is confusing. Clarity is set to hide everything typed into our request form. We turn off Google's advertising and cross-device features, and neither tool is used to show you ads.
If you click Decline, neither tool loads, and the site works the same. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as Decline. You can change your choice any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page, or by clearing this site's data in your browser.
How we use it
- To answer your call or request and set up service
- To send you the service updates you asked for by call or text
- To send seasonal reminders by text, only if you checked the box asking for them
- To confirm which calls and requests led to service, including by listening to recordings
- To keep the site running and measure what people use
Who we share it with
We share your name, number, address and the problem you described with the licensed technician who handles your job, so they can reach you and do the work. We also use service providers that process data for us, including our phone provider for call handling and recording, a form delivery service, and Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity if you accept cookies. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing.
Text messages
When you send a request, you agree that we and the technician handling your job may call or text you about that request. Seasonal reminder texts are separate and optional. If you opt in, expect about four messages a year. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to cancel, or HELP for help. We do not share your consent to receive texts with any third party for their marketing.
Call recording
Calls may be recorded for quality and to confirm service details. A notice plays at the start of each recorded call. If you do not want to be recorded, hang up and send a request instead.
How long we keep it
Request details and call records are kept for up to three years, then deleted. Recordings are kept for up to one year. Analytics data is kept according to Google's default retention settings.
Your choices
- Ask what information we hold about you, ask for a copy, or ask us to delete it by calling (980) 245-1226 or using the contact page. We respond within 45 days.
- Stop reminder texts at any time by replying STOP.
- Decline analytics cookies using the banner or the Cookie settings link. The site works the same without them.
We honor these requests for everyone, including residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut and other states with privacy laws. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising these rights.
Children
This site is for adults arranging service on a home or business. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, call us and we will delete it.
Security
Requests are sent over an encrypted connection. We limit access to your information to the people who need it to handle your job. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
